Film Number and Size

I’ve included this section to give a reference as to the various film sizes that have been produced over the vast amount of years for various types of cameras.  As a small note, the picture size represented with the film is its original picture size.  For example, 120 film’s native size is 6x8cm (2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″).  However, over the years that film has produced a wide variety of sizes from 6×4.5, 6×6, 6×7, 6×8, 6×9, 6×12, and 6×17. With roll film the only limit is the width of the film.  I’m sure someone out there has made a camera that will use 120 film and use its entire length to make a very large panoramic image, if not… I may end up trying to make a camera to do such a feat, not a bad idea… hmm.
